I have to trace down my intermittent CEL situation as well. My light comes on usually during startup and when car is at a stop light and it's only on for less than a min. then goes out. But really, there is no way to predict it. Intermittent being the KEY word here. I have replaced literally every little component except: AIC, AMM, and TPSwitch.(about out of dinero!)
Symptoms......high idle when cold...usually around 1700-2000
loping idle when started warm....up and down up and down until settling at 1000
intermittent CEL action that generally doesn't seem to affect the way the car
runs
Other than all those.........the car runs fine when cruising down the road.
I hate to hog SDBWORKS thread but if I recall we seem to share the same car AND the same problems.
And no, removing my oil filler cap does not affect idle.
Rapping on AIC with screwdriver handle does not affect idle either.
Tapping on accelerator peddle lightly does not affect idle either.
TIA
SJS
