Clock in instrument panel - kinda long

My 1980 900's clock is not working. When I had the dash apart it appears there is a wire(s) missing that plugs into the back of the clock. It looks like the missing wire should have a female connector. Anyone know what color this is supposed to be and where if it goes directly to the fuse box? While investigating another issue, I came across some wires that may the missing combination. All of them had been cut, so there is no connection attached to them (that would be too easy).
One is a heavy red wire, one has 3 very small wires (red, green, and I think yellow) inside a black covering, and I believe there is a loose black wire as I saw it once, but then lost track of it.
Yes, I know I can by a small digital clock or just look at my watch, but this clock is right in your face and would be very handy to get working again.
Also, does anyone know if the fixes posted previously for the Mercedes Benz clock fix would work on this clock? It doesn't have any electronics exposed, and I have not taken off the plastic backing as I don't want to mess with the wires that run all over the back of the instrument cluster.
Thanks for your help.
