GM bought 50% of Saab in 1990. Bought the rest of the company, seperating it from Scania trucks and the aerospace business, in 2000. Noticeable GM part in the classic 900s is the power steering rack. This pre-dates any ownership by GM. FWIW, the V4 engine in 95s, 96s, and Sonett IIIs was made by Ford; and the 99 originally used an engine designed by Triumph....
