On saturday, I replaced the igniton lock tumbler, not a hard job. Took 2.5 hours including the fabrication of a custom socket to remove the 3 point nuts holding the unit in place. Afterwards, on the shakedown cruise, I realized I lost second gear. I got to my parents house and tried to readjust the system, per Bentley book. Since my 900 is an 87, I needed the special alignment tool that fits into the differential cover. I tried fudging it with a piece of stiff wire and ended up gaining 2nd at the expense of reverse. Now I'm stuck saabless till I get reverse back. Anyone have a trick or instructions on how to get my babe driving again?
Grateful,
Cam
