I don't think the USA would risk sending me to Afghanistan... my idea for getting Al Qaeda out of caves in mountains is to melt the mountains down to glowing slag puddles with continual nuclear bombardment. (Hey, no mountains, no caves!) We've got a bunch of old nuclear weapons (they go bad after a time) and as a tax payer, I think we should use them before we have to throw them away. Heck, we should get our money's worth -- we paid for 'em. Plus, leaving a scar on the planet where those cowards once hid out might make some of the others (Hezzbollah, Hamas, PLO, etc.) reconsider their plans against us. Vaporization seems a fitting end for that group. Sheesh, don't get me started....
Back on topic. I was planning to get/use the right spacer tool, even though I've heard of people using fanbelts, thick cord, etc. instead. I have enough trouble using the RIGHT tools on some of these projects; no point in inviting more trouble for myself. My wife still complains about me wrecking her garden weasel.
With the Beastie's added HP, I don't think I want to go with a stock clutch, even temporarily. If I go to high redzone boost at certain speeds and in certain gears, the stock clutch slips. I've been avoiding those areas of the performance envelope but I'd like to eliminate that limitation if I can. I don't want to wait for the multi-disk Scanwest clutch I was reading about on the performance board -- I'd like to do this in the next week or two. I'll let everyone know what I end up with.
Good hearing from you again, Dave!
