Let's face it... *any* car that is more than 10 years old (most C900s) is going to be a bag of bolts requiring lots of maintenance, unless, of course, it was very well maintained by the original owner, has low mileage, and was not abused. It is very rare to find any car like that in the USA. SPGs especially... they are made to be driven hard and are!
The newer 900 is a nice car, very smooth and comfortable, but after driving a few that have come off lease after three years, they feel to me very flimsy and not nearly as solid as the C900s feel even at their age.
So it is absolutely important to take your time and find a car that was really maintained properly and not abused. Don't jump at something right away... drive a lot of different cars and pick the best. The great deal you think you have today may seem like a poor decision after the exhilaration has worn off.
