No offense to the 9000 people but the 9000 looks kind of geeky on the outside. I looked long and hard at them and something about the body style just isn't quite right. The interior is nice though. I have heard that parts cost more for 9000s. Go for the classic 900 turbo hatchback for awsome looks and practicality. 88-93(not 87, weak breaks.) You may want to go 88-89 if you don't want the expense and extra weight of airbags, abs, etc. Some don't like the auto seat belts but I like them because it's different. You can lock them down if they start failing or put reg belts in.(wreaking yard.) Every time you look at your classic 900T you will be happy. You can do all kinds of fun mods and tweeks and really create a great personalized rally car. Get one with good maint. history plus inspection if you really want to be safe. I would like four doors also but it doesn't look quite as sporty. Have fun SAABING. Best, KB88900T
