Congratulations on the success!
And now the bad news: You don't need to touch the axle nuts. Pull off the whole steering member, removing the balljoints from the upper and lower a-arms and pulling the tie-rod balljoint off as a whole. Separate the "half-shaft" from the bearing in the outer CV by opening the circlip, leaving the "half-shaft" dangling from the tranny and the bearing in the outer axle. Do this on both cars, then swap steering members/knuckles. The '82's "half-shafts" will happily mate with the '86's outer axle & bearing. No need to swap outer axles whatsoever. I've done this swap on my '80 900T, my '86 900S, and last night with my '78 99T. Sorry... :( The only reason to pull the axles out is if you wanna do the wheel bearings, which isn't an entirely bad idea if it's all apart. FWIW, I usually do the balljoints but don't worry about anything else.
