consists of a Adcom GFS-5475 which is normally 75x4 RMS. For some reason I wanted to use that on my component set so it's now more like 300x2 for the component speakers. I then used Adcom's 5275 wich is simply halp the channels of the 5475 & is going to a single 10 in a .5 cu ft box & also has around 600w RMS. With the sony sub (4 ohms, 86 db), I would usually fade the component speakers to a lower volume (I only have front speakers) & I would also keep the sub volume at 10 out of 16 max. With the boston sub (2 ohm, 91 db) I do not fade the front speakers volume & I usually keep the sub in the 0-4 range. So going with a speaker speaker which is almost 6 db more effecient as well as 2 ohms vs 4, I pretty much tripled the volume of the sub! Thus more then I need, I should of simply gone with a 4 ohm boston sub! However even at the power levels I have, it is NOT a loud system :o)

Is yours RMS or max power??
