My car is acting up. 2 weeks ago I was lucky enough to get gas with water in it at a fill-up. Man, what an experience trying to drive. Anyway, it is driving better now but has developed a problem. When I start my car the rpm's shoot up then drop all the way down and it stalls. does this repeatedly. Holding my foot on the accelerator does not help. And if I try to go, it's like I can push the pedal all the way down with nothing happening. No acceleration. I just putt along till 3rd gear where it kind of comes to life, although it did it in 2nd this morning. It doesn't do this all of the time. Usually once I've driven somewhere and it's warm it drives fine. Sometimes I feel an occasional stutter while driving. Any ideas? 900S, 140k miles. I'm sure I need a new O2 sensor, mechanic suggested it awhile ago and the check engine light is flickering on and off. I've tried checking the codes but it won't come on when I have the back seat up to check them.
