Had the morons at Jiffy Lube destroy my alternator because they yanked the ground wire to the oil filter housing.

They're right, stand up for yourself -- there's absolutely zero excuse for any respectable mechanic's shop to do what it just did and not eat the cost of their mistake. None.

For myself, I take my baby to the dealer for oil changes -- their prices are comparable to the local Jiffy Lubes, they're respectable and they'd take care of me if they screwed up (as they have before), and most importantly they actually know how to change the oil on a Saab! (Not that changing the oil on a Saab is a completely different task from any other car...)


good luck with it - remember, they botched it, they should fix it for free, don't take no for an answer.
