Todd,

It's a very easy job but you'll need a good couple hours to devote. Here's a list of supplies I used...

A stiff bristle brush
A light duty staple gun
A package of SHORT staples, shortest you can find for the gun.
Access to a washing machine
A can of 3M Super 77 Adhesive
Small screwdriver, most any will do.
A couple yards of felt
A marker to use on the felt

Ok first step is to remove the inserts from the door, all you need to do is remove the single screw beneath the door latch on the inside. Then pull off the handle. To remove the insert pull down on it and it will un-clip.
Here's the messy part, you need to take off the old fabric, be careful with it as if it's not ripped you can reuse it. Carefully pry out all the staples on the back side with a small screwdriver. Now peel the fabric covering off of the masonite. You'll notice that it will be a mess with some sort of strange black adhesive foam they used. Take the masonite panels somewhere you don't care if you get messy, and scrub them with the bristle brush, this cleans them up pretty well, don't forget to do both sides. Now take the fabric and shake it out as best you can to get the debris off of them. Get to a washing machine and put the inserts in on a gentle cycle, you'll wanna do them by themselves, use a mild detergent, woolite is good, although I think I just used a small amount of tide. Once they're done being washed put em in the dryer on "no heat" setting until they're dry. They should look much better. If you can't reuse them, just subistite a different covering of your choice it shouldn't make any differance in assembly, but I prefer the "original" look and they turned out nice for me. Ok, take the masonite pieces and trace around them and the opening on to the felt, then cutout the shapes from the felt. The felt acts as a pad and pulls the covering tight, it also helps keep the staples from sticking you in the arm when you're done. Now you'll spray the 3M adhsive on the "front" side of the masonite panels, then apply the felt cutouts with their respective panels, and smooth out any lumps. Now you're ready to re-apply the covering. The covers may have been slgihtly distorted by the washing, but fear not they can be easily shaped to fit properly again. I found the easiest way was to match up the openings on the masonite with the cutouts on the original coverings then staple the cover around the openings, make sure it's tight across the opening, you may need to do a little creative tucking and stapling to make it just right. Then staple around the perimiter of the panels making sure it's tight, turn it over occasionally to ensure a smooth tight finish on the front. When it's all stapled tight you're done! I did mine last week and they look like new, no sagginess and fabric looks clean. If you have any more questions about how it works lemmme know.

Vince
