Perhaps I'm dense, but what precisely do you mean by the fuel pump baffle, and what is gue ? My experience with Saabs (with regards to fuel pumps) is that they typically give you the most trouble in the summer because they are cooled by the gas themselves. I've owned 7+ saabs (3 currently), and have learned that the best way to get the most "mileage" out of your fuel pump(s) is:
A. Always keep at least a quarter tank of fuel in the tank, especially in hot weather.
B. When working on the fuel pump, remove the fuel level sender first (so you don't destroy it), and ALWAYS follow the procedure for removal/installation outlined in the Bentley manual.
C. Always install a new fuel pump o-ring whenever servicing it.
Other than the o-ring, I can't imagine what else could turn to "gue". Anyway, I hope my tips help. Good luck.
