In case u didn't read the message directly above this one, i turn the key to "on" and battery lite inside the dash does NOT lite up. I start the car once to see if it goes on briefly while starting... it does NOT.

I remove the speaker grill on top left side of the dash and can't see anything so i go inside to get a flashlight. When i return and put the key to "on" (to shut off the alarm) the battery light IS illuminated!!

I did recently remove this speaker grill when i had radio problems. How likely is it that my problem was that this lightbulb lost connection (slightly) and re-connected when i once again removed the speaker grill this morning? The battery lite in the dash SHOULD lite up even the first time starting the car in the morning, right?

On an side note, i looked for the green/white wire but couldn't find it. I did have an alternator wire replaced a couple of years ago by a mechanic, so i'm assuming that he replaced it with one other than a green and white one (there were 2 red ones next to each other, based upon what i've read, these were the 2 wires but one of them should have been green/white).

Please let me know the probability that the above scenario (the battery lite losing connection and now being re-connected) was the problem? Should this lite ever NOT come on when the ignition is switched to "ON"?

THANKS!! (how great is this site??)
