I didn't bled the brakes, just pads and rotors. Did I screw up?
I just backed the caliper pistons back SLOWLY and it all seems to work. The car stops nicely, and it doesn't pull to either side when braking hard. All SEEMS OK to me. I'm not putting my buddy in danger by not bleeding 'em, am I?
I was reluctant to even consider bleeding them after snapping 3 of 4 bleeder nipples off my convertible. Then I saw all the bleeders on the volvo and imagined the pain of breaking every one of those. These calipers had some serious rust on 'em. It was an 89 Volvo 240 with 190k. Lots of gunk under the hood and brake pads worn down to metal.
