50K on it! This auto wrecker said that he almost got it but passed on it. He didn't know how good Saab engines are and he said that he didn't get it because it was a turbo and was concerned about the life of the engine. That would have been sweet! I did find a '92 Turbo engine with 175 compression and unknown mileage for $500.00. I don't know if that is good or bad?(175 compression). Also found a '90 Turbo engine with turbo at 108K for $600.00. Waiting to here from my shop. What do you guys think? Can my '88 tranny be rebuilt with bigger pinion and stronger tranny and put on the '90 or '92 turbo engine? I asked my shop if I should get a non turbo engine and was told that a non-turbo engine will need more modification to make it a turbo. I thought that I have read here that a non turbo engine would be in better shape and is easily converted to turbo. Also she said that the later Classic 900s have a tranny drain plug but I thought I read here that it's not the same as say my '88 Turbo.

Please straiten me out on these questions.
