A while ago I bought some stuff from SPG9 including the remote voltage regulator. Ever try and get the brush pack out while the alt is mounted? The little screws that hold the brush pack on the back of the alt. are tucked in a spot with severely limited access. I tried evey combination of driver bit and such that I could rig from the tool box to get those suckers out. Needle-nose vise grips, turning about 3 degrees per time finally got the inner screw out. Much colorful language was heard during this adventure. The screw was bent like you wouldn't believe! Amazing that the damn thing came out at all. How it got that way I'll never know. Since then I've picked up a couple limited-access screw drivers from Orchard, and next time it'll be way easier. Right!
