89Turbo dies with spark and pressure?

My 89 900 turbo 16v died suddenly while crusing up a hill. I can hear each fuel pump running (do have pwr at the pump) and I am getting spark.
I swapped out the 280 000 570 box to no avail. I am swapping out the fuel pump next but I can smell fuel after cranking a while. The rotor is turning. Can this be a f/i input from the crank sensor problem?
Please help as I am marooned.
