I just went through this with my '86. I found water leaked in on the windshield gasket and the door windlace gasket. Fixed the window by using a plastic spatula (like is used with fiberglas based bondo) and prying up the rubber while I pushed the tip of the silicone tube into the space and filled it with silicone.

The door was remedied by pushing the windlace (not the rubber on the door itself,rather the molding the door closes against, tightly to the body. It moves through expansion and contraction with temperature changes, and the constant opening and closing of the door. If it comes down again, next time I will cement it in place with urethane glue, which is very tough stuff in tensile strength, and yet flexible to allow the windlace to move with the temp changes.
