Thanks for your repsonse GDS. This weekend I put in a different H bypass valve and still no luck. I also bled the system many times till coolant flowed out. The hoses to the valve are warm at normal operating temp but the hoses after it to the fire wall are cold. I took the valve out again and blew into one of the heater core hoses. Coolant came out the other end so it is not blocked. I took the speaker cover off and say the rod. It is atttached and spins when I turn the dial on the dash. It is hooked up to something but I can't see what....it's definately not hanging. I had the car running for 20 minutes. I drove it up to 50mph and still no heat. The temp guage reads normal too. It is half way. I am stumped. It;s driving me nuts. If the thermostat was stuck in the way you mentioned, would the car run at normal operating temperature? Also afterrunning all that time, shouldn't there be pressure released when I remove the cap on the overflow tank? There is none. Thanks for your time again.-Mac
