So I might just let it go, or just do a quick 60 degree hone. If there is scoring, no matter how minor, I would re-bore all 4 cylinders to match them.
Honestly though, I would just buy a used engine with limited mileage and do a swap. It will be cheaper, unless you yourself are doing the reassembly after a shoppe does the benchwork. I just trashed my old engine and replaced with a limited mileage one rather than doing a rebuild on an engine with an overheating problem and a blow-by, despite the fact that the short block had decent crosshatching an no visible wear. I did not want to be bothered with pistons and rings and crankshafts and bearings. I can do it, I just had no desire.
You asked for the opinion of a 900c owner, so I give it.
No matter what you do, I wish you all the best. It is easy for me to arm-chair quarterback, but you need to live with the system. I am certain you will make the correct decision. Good luck!
