damp spark plug wires, old spark plugs with excessively worn gaps. Trog is absolutely right about an engine not wanting to fire when it's flooded.
If nothing else, replace the spark plugs and, while the plugs are out, pull the fuse for the fuel pump and crank it for a few 20-second bursts to try to ventilate the excess gas out of the cylinders. (Assuming that the carburetted C900s have electric fuel pumps, of course.)
If the spark plug wires are old, replace them. Same for the cap and rotor.
It's also possible that the floats in the carburators aren't stuck, but I'd bet on an ignition problem.
