your battery sounds okay anyways.. he he..
its all right saying check or replace a million possible things but u can end up with new car following this advice.. there are two main reasons why a car wont start.. weak or no spark or an incorrect fuel mixture..
does your car have a good spark at the plugs.. does your car have fuel getting to the injectors and if it does.. does it have too much.. too much cranking because of a weak spark for example will cause your engine to flood and never start..
if u think your car has a good spark but is flooded pull the fuel pump relay and just keep cranking with the throttle pressed right down.. as the rich mixture weakens off the car will fire up for a brief period until the remaining fuel is used up.. if it fires up this way your spark is good..
if u think your car aint getting fuel crack an injector line and see if there is pressure there..
assuming a good spark.. getting an engine to fire isnt that hard.. for example simply shutting off the main the fuel supply and pouring a small amount of gas straight into the inlet manifold and cranking the engine will cause it to fire and run for a few seconds..
but u really have to find out what your problem is before u can find out which particular component is responsible..
in essence is your spark good and if so is your mixture too rich or too lean.. once u know this for definite u can set about traceing the duff component..
just bear in mind the bit about exessive cranking with fuel going in and no fireing will causing things to flood even if the basic mixture is correct to start with.. also disconnect the cold start injector at its sensor just under the T-sat housing.. this thing will cause flooding on saab if for whatever reasons it dont fire up as it should.. its a wee bit like pumping gas in you dont want evertime u turn the key.. it acts just like the accelerator pump used to on a carb equiped car.. its a bit of a blunt instrument and will keep squirting juice into your engine even if the mixture is already too rich.. the car will start and run without it.. so it shouldnt matter if its not connected.. in some ways that extra cold start jet can cause more problems than it solves..
