Hey pal. Hope you ordered it from thesaabsite.com. Save you a lot of dough. I spent 50 or something @ the dealer for a new valve. I also have a 92 900 but a turbo. I would get a new valve before I replaced the hoses with earlier ones. It was put there for a reason. I broke my valve doing the alternator job. New one works just fine. Worked before though too. You will not need to drain the cooling system from the radiator, but it might make things not quite as messy. There is not much room to cleanly bend the hoses in order ot drain coolant where you want it. coolant will come out, but no more than a cup or 2. To replace the valve with a new one I would not drain anything. To put new hoses on I might consider it. I'm in NH so I know how cold it's been. Mine is a convertible, and I'm still plenty warm.
