This is getting rather anoying.
I am now on about 20L of oil in my driveway, 6 oil filters...
Every time i start my car in temps lower then -20 C(its been -30 to -50 for
the past week and a bit) the car makes a sound like pressure is building andthen i hear "drip drip drip" the sound of oil running down my engine bay
onto my newly paved this summer driveway. I have purchased and installed a
block heater which is working.
I have replaced the oil pressure regulator valve (above the oil filter) I
have tried oil filters by, fram, bosch, canadian tire, kent. I am using 10w
30 oil... I checked where the filter mates with the engine, its fine. Had a
mechanic check it just incase too. I have tried filling the oil to only
about half way... no luck.
I can't have a winter car that doesnt work in the winter!!!! Right now i
have extra filters in my lunch box and have to replace it EVERY time i start
the car.... ARRRRRGGGGGGGG. I'm cold...
Any idea's no matter how wild and crazy and theoretical would be very
appreciated.
i'm || close to just junking the piece of.......
