Hello, all...I have come across a one-owner MINT condition 1986 Saab 900 'S' with just 81,000 miles on it...The woman owner is 75 yrs old right now...The car is great..
Only thing is..it is an automatic...
Question is...Are the higher RPM's with a older Saab automatic trannie bad for the car ?
I have owned a 1985 automatic and it goes to around 3500 rpm's at just 60 mph, if I remember correctly.
The redline is not until over 5500 rpms...
This is OK for the engine?
I dont care about how loud it sounds at these rpm's..
I dont care how slow this car is...
I just want to know that the auto trannie is reliable to use as a commuter car..110 miles a day, roundtrip, ...highway.
thank you...John
