My cover has a 19mm nut with a dipstick attached to it. I think I have read that some models don't have it. Remove the nut and use one of those $5 plastic "hypodermic" syringes that Pep Boys sells to measure oil for 2 stroke premix. I just pull out about a quart a few onces at a time and refill. I guess a turkey baster would do also. I don't want to mess with the drain plug for risk of cracking the transmission case. PITA, but better than that risk or not doing it all. After three or four oil changes, I figure the transmission is getting flushed on a regular basis. Oil is cheaper than parts.
