Not to get off topic but I do speak of Saab stuff below to....
If you have what I think you have, that is awesome! I have a '71 vette mouse block, a '75 grand ville convert with a 455 4bbl , a '76 bonneville with a 400 4bbl, and a '79 10'th anniv. ltd. ed. with a 4 speed and 400 4bbl. None will keep up with that crazy 455 of yours. What a great engine Buick made. Only a GTO with ram air 4 heads could beat it or come close trying.
I also agree 100% with the tranny stuff you say, but the question becomes do we want to customize both ends of our trannies to allow for cooling in a manual setup. We would need to install nipples, pumps, hoses, and new radiators with cooling from auto tranny to at least one side of the manual tranny. We would need to cool both sides of the manual trannies, so one side might need to be air cooled.
