firstly my car might differ from yours.. mine is the basic cis system with no ecu.. the throttle stop screw is the one u think it is.. it fixes the exact point at which the throttle plate closes.. in short it prevents it from closing completely.. mine is easy to get at and is a simple screw with a lock nut around it.. the lock nut must first be loosened before the screw and be turned.. the screw is slotted so a screw driver is the tool.. screwing it in will increase your idle speed.. out will decrease it..
the idle mixture adjuster is a small allen key job.. there might be a blanking plate over the hole which is near the end of the inlet pipe above the air cleaner.. this governs the ride height of the piston in the main fuel distributor at idle.. a small turn either way makes a big difference to the mixure so limit movement to about a quarter turn either way.. always remember where u started off from..
