Your car is VERY different than his Posted by RS [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Re: well.., trog100, Thu, 13 Feb 2003 13:29:16 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
His does have an ECU and isn't CIS injection. So there's no Fuel Distributor, no idle mixture adjuster, etc.
There have been more idle speed problems caused by people farking around with their idle stop screws without diagnosing the real real problem. Screwing with the stop screw is a bandaid and just leads to more problems down the line.
Remember that most posters to this board are in the US. Not all of them, but most.
Please, if you're going to give advice about the injection systems on C900s, familiarize yourself with what's the norm for the US-spec SAABs. Here's a link to the Townsend Imports page with the engine control variants. If it's not listed on that page, it's an 8-valve and it has CIS - for those you have some good experience. In the US, everything up to '84 is 8-valve. In '85, everything but the Turbo is 8-valve. From '86 to '88, the base model is 8-valve and everything else is 16-valve.
I don't mean to get in your face, but you're sending these poor guys off in the the wrong direction.
