Like Chaz sez, the knock sensor is on the engine block.
Look down at the block between the intake manifold runners for cylinders 2 & 3. It is a roundish plastic thing with an electrical connector on it held to the block with a 10-mm bolt. Unfortunately the lousy thing is right below that "Y" connector in the PCV/throttle body heater pipe, so it's not as easy to get out on t C900T as it is on a N/A C900.
Sometimes the copper wires in the cable get fatigued by road vibration and break at the connector to the knock sensor - especially if it has gotten driven over a lot of rough roads. This is what happened in my '89 SPG.
When you start the car do you get any clicks from the APC solenoid?
Just in case, take a look at the APC fuse, too.
