but never treat a car as an investment. Its there so you can drive it - if you're lucky then MAYBE you'll get half the money you put into it back if you try to sell it. You repair a car so that it is safe and goes - getting your moeny back for the reapirs is a pipe dream.
Though the cosmetics might be better I'd lay 10:1 odds that the turbo has all the same problems. Remember you're bying a car AND tools AND parts . Turbos go - yes - but they're also more likely to be abused. Don't diss the 9000 either. I had an '87 9000 turbo before my current 900S. I think the 9000 was a little smoother on the highway. Both cars go just fine - you just have to drive them differently. The S doesn't really seem to move properly until you start shifting a 4k. That took me about a month to figure out. I found though that I still had to downshift on the highway to pass in the 9k turbo.
