I'm no expert but I have installed more than a few systems, so here's my $0.02.
Is there an Easy way of getting the Head Unit out of the dash without the DIN things?
***I assume you're talking about the factory radio and/or EQ. You can push the proper size nails into the holes on either side of the unit to release it for removal from the sleeve.
I think that the Head unit has RCA cables, but I dont understand how they hook up to the Head. My Kit only came with one RCA cable (+ and -) do I need 2?
*** Not sure I understand. Do you have one cable with two plugs coming out of the head unit, or two cables with two plugs per cable? I'm going to assume the latter. A head unit like this is set up for two 2-channel amplifiers or one 4-channel. Your amp is apparently a 4-channel, but you amp wiring kit only came with one RCA cable. Correct? If this is so, all you need to do is run to Radio Shack or like vendor for an additional cable.
What is the Remote wire for?
***This carries a signal from you head unit to the amp telling the amp to switch "on".
Can I leave the front two speakers on the Head units power, and run two channels from the amp to each rear speaker and then have a X-over and have both of the remaining channels go to the Sub?
***What kind of X-over? Active or passive. I'll assume "active". If upgrading to a 6-channel amp or adding an additional 2-channel is out of the question, I would wire the rear speakers directly to the head unit, use the X-over to filter out my mid-bass frequencies from my dash speaker amp channel, and send my lows to the sub. I think the rears are better able to handle full-range signals at higher volumes than would be the fronts.
Hope that helps.
