Yeah. I wouldn't touch that thing with YOUR 10' pole! Unless YOU look at it, and test drive it, with a decent checklist in your hands (e-mail me if you want one you can use/edit in MS Excel format - vsfoxe@rcn.com).
I got a Saab from Syracuse a couple months ago. Asked 26 questions! Everything was supposedly "great". Asked about the condition of the SPG panels - Great! (no mention of the upper edge screws right through the panels holding them on the car).
No mention of the fact that the springs had been cut, to resemble SPG springs, and it rides dragging across every bump.
No mention of the fact that the APC system was demolished, and it goes into major boost, and fuel cut-off shuts it down every time you want any semi-serious boost. It, too, supposedly had a "manual boost control", but it doesn't control anything that I've been able to discover!
The 2-year old paint that was "great" is faded, oxidized, and ON and ON and ON. What a bunch of BS, selective oversight, and downright lying.
And you're right - this guy sounds rude, and I'd RUN the other way.
Decent SPG's ARE hard to find. I paid premium price for a red 90 from California, and it is worth every penny of it to me.
Sorry about the rant! Patience is the best thing, but I know it's Springtime!
