Get an adapter of the approximatel length of your torque wrench. The output torque at the end of the adapter will be double the reading on the torque wrench. If you need more than 200ft-lbs you really need to get a 0-250 lb ft torque wrench, 1/2" drive. That wrench will give you up to 500lbft with an adapter. What, doesn't that nut need about 340lbft or so?
