and others!...
Using a VDO boost gauge:
Base boost is 5 psi
Full boost (steady) 14-15 psi, approx 1/3 into the red,
with an initial surge upto 20 psi. .....Seems reasonable, but not stock.
Stock FPR, Yellow/tan injectors (assume stock)
Runs fantastic! it'll pull an extra 10 mph (80 vs 70)over my SPG to the speed limit sign (45 mph..heheh)up the road.
I'll try an APC swap to see how it (and the SPG) responds, then compare pot settings. I just want to be sure any mods on the car have been done properly. So much of the car was screwed up by a previous owner. I think it's in good hands now. ;)
My biggest concern is the auto tranny....car has 172k miles,
it doesn't like full-throttle/full boost shifting, and slips sometimes. But I have to admit, I really like the auto/turbo combo... Almost reminds me of my old turbo Regal. Hmmmm....how about a turbo V6 RWD Saab 900???
