I will ammend my boat comment regarding BMW's by relating that a close friend bought an 86 325 (when it was new) and spent a year modifying it before even driving it. Lots of engine, intake, exhaust and suspension work. His goal was to build a track and rally race car for local competitions. I was fortunate to go on that first drive with him. (the races he had in mind required two drivers) An awesome display of machinery. So it's not like they can't be modified to impress me, it's just the stock ride experience of that 6 cyl bmer that I drove was substandard in comparison to my 82T.
