I bet they're fouled.... Fouled plugs could be the cause of the poor performance. Only remove them when the engine is cold. On installation, put a little anti-seize on the threads. You might want to check the cylinder compression while you are at it.
Inspect Air filter too, maybe something built a nest in there over the winter.... Could've made your A/F mixture too rich. And look for bad vacuum hoses. Common Saab problem.
Did you lose any other fluids? Water would be the biggest concern...(head gasket) Also check power steering fluid...it could be mistaken for an engine oil leak, as it leaks near the firewall also. Try to pinpoint where the oil leak is. It's common for oil pressure senders to develope huge leaks. It's near the oil filter. If the exhaust looks clean, head gasket and turbo are probably ok.
Hopefully, its just something simple...
