the APC box being disabled by it's operating conditions not being satisfied. That's the base boost that we're talking about. My quickie guess is that there's something up with the knock sensor circuit - that's what was wrong with my '89 SPG. It could also be a grounding issue, but that's a good starting point for diagnosis.
