At first i thought that you just had popped a vacuum/pressure hose that popped off under boost, but when the problem went away after restart it sounds like something else. But check the hoses and intake grommets anyway.
I have a hunch that your AIC valve "vane" might have stuck in a full open position thus desensitizing the engine to regular throttle input. I would clean out the AIC with carb spray and finish with a shot of wd40 so that the rotor/vane flops around freely. There is a chance that this will not fix it if the motor has a burned spot, in which case you should just go ahead and replace the AIC. While your at it, you might clean out the throttle body and butterfly with carb spray and a toothbrush paying particular attention to any build up on the bore where the buttlrfly rests at idle. Make sure the throttle position switch clicks just off idle, too.
