The posts have been beautiful so far - thanks! The exhaust studs that I'm thinking of attach the exhaust manifold to the downpipe/header. These studs do NOT go into the head.
From eyeballing my old and the hardware store's new I think the right size stud is M10, 1.5 pitch. can anyone confirm/deny this? Over the last few days I've been using red locktite on everything (ran out of blue) - will that do once I find the right sized stud or should I buy something that will resist heat better?
I was surprosed to see yesterday that a big gasket/sealer wasn't necessary when replacing the thermostat. I really though I'd have to seal something - the o-ring that came with the whaler thermostat fit beautifully.
again, thanks!
Nathan
