Hey nt,
I just did the same procedure today (but used different oil), & I tightened the plug a lot more than 25-30 ft-lbs; maybe 50 ft-lbs?. I couldn't find anything in Bentley which spec'd the proper torque, & since I had to use a cheater bar over the wrench handle to break it free, I figgerd it must need to be tighter than the engine oil plug. Now I'm guessing the mechanic must've used an air wrench?
I found a 12mm/14mm/17mm hex-wrench-in-a-socket set for $8 at AutoZone, but it fit "just OK" too. Where did you get the replacement copper washer? I didn't realize there was one there, so I just reused it (& it looked like it had been reused already).
I think I may have over-filled by a few ounces (maybe 4-6 oz?). Any idea if I should drain a bit back out?
Thanks!
