Thanks for the idea, that's the one spare I'll be carrying out tomorrow to try.
We're enjoying absolutely mild temps tonight, 60 degrees and very light rain. Is it likely that the Ignition Module would do anything flakey under such mild conditions?
Also, why would I get such a reliable rrr-vroom-dies pattern from a flaking spark module now? I wasn't clear enough on this perhaps, but it's probably 100% reliably catching but not staying.
Hey, I'm taking the Ign Mod from my old 86 when I go out to work on it tomorrow. I'm just thinking electro-mechanical failure cuz of the tries-but-fails nature of it's current behavior.
