Alpine or Blaupunk, maybe?

I had an Alpine CD/MP3 head unit put in my '91 convertible, and it was by far the simplest looking one I could find. Blaupunkt is the only other brand I've seen that has very "Euro" looking faceplates.
I'm pretty happy with my Alpine, except that it doesn't have a dimmer for the faceplate at night, and it kind of glows in your face. You don't realize the importance of the light color (red, orange, green, etc.) or a dimmer until you're in the car in all sorts of conditions!
I have a Kenwood motorized faceplate head unit in my restored Peugeot 405 Mi16...it's mounted much lower in the dash and thus is more discreet...the faceplate flips around when the car is shut off so it looks like there is no stereo...pretty cool. Granted, I'm just waiting for it to get jammed...
Cheers,
Paul H.
