Both of these vehicles were used. I don't have the history of either one. I did see the pickup on the blown motor, and it was completely clogged. It wasn't metal shavings, just simply mud like caked grease and oil. I'm assuming the previous owner didn't believe in regular oil changes. Or perhaps added some sort of stop leak at some time. It simply choked the oil supply, throwing a rod through the side of the block. Based on that, I felt I had the same thing again, yet didn't want to pull the motor to confirm it. I feel pretty darn confident that this diesel flush in fact cleaned another clogged pickup screen. I will repeat this If I buy another 2.1(non turbo) powered 900 imediatly to prevent that from happening on that one. Flushing an engine with diesel has been done since mr Ford Built model T's. I personally haven't done it for years, but had to make a decision.Some people do it with strait diesel....I went 50/50 with oil. It works great, better than any bottled flush you can buy, and it is cheap, so I passed it along.
