hey there... glad to help.
Im in Melbourne... so you may get here for the commonwealth games in 2006 perhaps?
Ive never heard of the front lights coming on when reverse is selected! Must be a North American thing as they certainly aren't used in the market down here.
You would probably be OK reusing the old nuts, but I'd probably put a new locknut on the axle bit - as you may not be sure what stresses the old nuts have endured - better to be safe than sorry - dont want the wheel coming off at speed!
I know the feeling re the manuals - bits missing here and there, but i guess use them together and it should answer most questions! :) if not post on here! :)
