To confirm that the spark plugs are delivering spark, you can pull one spark plug wire at a time, connect it to a spark plug tester (or buy a brand new plug which is gapped to 4mm). Ground the outer electrode of the spark plug to a ground point on the engine. Do NOT hold the spark plug while trying this test. Have someone else try to start the engine and watch for spark between the inside and outside electrodes of the plug. The spark should be bright blue, if it's dim or not present you have an ignition problem.
This should give you a starting point to begin troubleshooting the ignition or fuel system.
