ah, the golden rule: if someone wants your stuff, they WILL get it. i'm mostly worried about a bored 12yo punk kid. he would be more than welcome to my head unit ($100 blaupunkt casablanca CD50) -- it would give me an excuse to buy a HU that supports straight mp3 playback :) -- but i'm more worried about the EASY access to my trunk. if someone broke my window all they'd have to do is pop my driver side lock to open the trunk, and even if i disconnected the central locking at the moment they'd still be able to go through the back seat.
concealing the amp/subs would be a good idea, but i'm more concerned about sound. i'll be running two 12" 200W RMS subs (cerwin vega HED-12SVC) with a 400W RMS amp (kicker kx400.1), so if i mounted it upside down in an enclosed area it'd probably overheat. plus, the thump from a sub is almost always better in a box.. so. :)
