The reason I asked is 'cuz the Bentley ONLY recommends a pressure bleeder for the clutch, but either a pressure OR vacuum bleeder for the brakes. I did a search & found everything recommended, including gravity-only. I've already got a Craftsman vacuum mini-pump, & was hoping I could use it for this, but if I've got to get a pressure bleeder for the clutch anyway... This is for the non-ABS '85, but I guess I really need to do the '90 (w/ABS) also.
Another question: Bentley says to drain out a pint from each brake caliper?! How many liters of fluid should I buy for each car if I'm doing both the clutch & brake systems?
Micah-
Thanks for the info. I was considering the Motive, but then one of the guys here at work offered to loan me his home-made bleeder. Congratulations on your SPG find!

I think that's what this guy at work did, only he used the "specialty" Assenmacher cap when he couldn't get his "Help!" cap to seal properly. How many pumps do you give it?
john-
So you use the vacuum bleeder on the clutch w/o any problems?
Alex-
Thanks, I didn't even think to look up the procedure for the '90. I've been focusing on the '85 to get it road-worthy for my son by this autumn. Is the ABS pump method preferred over using the pressure bleeder on the rears?
