If you are driving 15,000 to 20,000 miles a year a C900 really isn't the car for you. They are fast getting popular as a classic, but they are just getting a little old to be a cummuter car. I see lots of NG900s with 200,000 plus miles so they do last. 900C's have there share of problems too, and my guess is you would simply be trading for different problems. They are much simpler to work on yourself, if that's an issue. Until recently my only two cars were a '93 Turbo Convertible and an '84 turbo sedan (with only 92K on it). But I work at home and since I'm a dealer I usually have other cars around. Actually if you could find a low mileage, late model 9000, it would be more likely to accomplish your goal. Personally I'd stick with what you have and get a C900 for fun/back up.
